Blue Dress

So I had grand plans to sew Mckenna a dress for Easter with the help of my mother-in-law Judy. She knows her stuff when it comes to sewing and she helped me get the fabric and all other necessities needed for this project. She came to my house to help me sew and the first few times we got some things done but then we hit a snag. I had to take the sewing machine in to find out what was wrong with it and because of that we were cutting it to close to Easter. So we decided to make the dress for her birthday instead. Well you would think we wouldn't have waited until the last week before her birthday but we did and once again Judy came to my house and we sat down to get to sewing. You will never guess what happened then! That's right once again my sewing machine started acting up and we couldn't sew any thing. It was so frustrating and until I could sit down with some one who can teach me how to use my machine I just went over to Judy's to use her sewing machine. What was really great was to see the dress coming together and really looking like a dress. I got the dress sewn as far as I could with so much help from Judy. Then with all that was going on in my life and hers she was kind enough to finish it up for me. Since once again we were running out of time for her to ware it on the Sunday after her birthday. You heard me right I didn't even get it done on her birthday but luckily it got done in time for her to ware on Sunday. So THANK YOU Judy for all your help in getting the perfectionist in me to not worry so much and just do the best I could. She looks so cute and the dress turned out great.

It's darling! I love it. Good job you and I'm sorry you had sewing machine stress. That is no fun.

Good work Sandra! She looks so cute and ready for summer. I ended up buying a new sewing machine with Mom because we kept having machine problems while working on a project. I feel your pain!
