We opened our stockings first and I found silly string at Kmart remembering old times when I was little I put them in our stockings. It made a really big mess. The worst part was Eli really didn't like it very much. The first time it got on him it felt all cold and slimy and that was all it took for him not to like it. He had fun watching Keith and I spray each other and kept telling us to, "get him again!" We opened the rest of our stockings and then headed over to the tree to open our Santa gifts. Mckenna got a dress and Eli got a tool set. He was so excited about getting a tool set that he had to put everything on then and there. He kept calling himself Bob the builder.
We also got some fun pictures of Eli tearing the wrapping paper off and then the look on his face was really great! When he would be tearing off the paper he would ask us, "What's it going to be?" Then if it was in a box he would shout, "It's a BOX!" He was so excited about it being a box that I thought that is what we should have gotten him.
About 8:30 is when Allen and Cindy came over and had breakfast with us. After that we open the rest of the gifts. Allen and Cindy got Eli, Thomas the Train and we had to stop right then and there and open up the train set for him so that he could play with it. He really didn't want to open any more gifts after that. When he did he liked what he got but went right back to playing with Thomas. Until he got Heather's gift. She got him Mack the truck from the movie Cars. He dropped everything he was doing and went right into his room and put Mack on his road rug so that he could drive Mack around. As Heather said she knows best.
Mckenna was funny to watch because she would look at all her gifts with the funniest of faces. When we would pull the string or push the button that would start the toy she would smile or wrinkle her eyebrows in a way that made us all laugh.
Judy also got the kids some great stuff and I don't have any pictures of them opening her gifts because I forgot my camera when we went over to their house. I will have to get her to send me the pictures she took. I did however get a picture of Mckenna in the dress that she made for her. Mckenna wore it on Sunday and boy doesn't she look so CUTE!
Now an even worse thing that I didn't do was take any pictures of Keith opening his gifts. I was mad at myself too! I couldn't believe I had done that. He got a lot of good stuff and I think he made out like a bandit! He got some trail running socks from Mckenna. A Eastman's hunting DVD from Eli and Sandra-clause got him a trillium stove base, a screwdriver set, and a bike computer.
Last but not least I have to brag about what I got for Christmas! I have needed some good pans for the last year or so. The pans I had were good (thanks Jaime) but when we lived in our apartment we had a electric stove with coil burners. There is nothing wrong with that until you move into our new house and have a new stove that has flat burners. My pans were all warped! Also some of the nonstick surface was coming off and that can't be good for us to eat. Now I have Calphalon pans and I couldn't be happier! They work like a dream! I made eggs the other morning and not one egg stuck to the pan. When I was making the eggs I made scrabbled eggs and the thought came to me that I can finally make omelets. It may sound silly to you but to be able to make a lot of this stuff gets me really excited to try all kinds of new recipes!

Eli is into Thomas too? He should meet Chase...if they made Thomas the Tank Engine toilet paper, we would probably own it! Chase has three wonderful sets of grandparents and every Christmas and birthday he rakes it in! Have you seen any of the Thomas train stuff on my blog?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Your pans are awesome! I love cooking gadgets, they make me want to try new stuff too. Mckenna looks ADORABLE in her new dress...Judy is super talented! Eli got good loot, what a cutie. Ahhh, silly string...who cleaned that up? :)
